Sport in Action extends heartfelt congratulations to the 46 dedicated individuals who have achieved their Basic level coaching certificates in basketball, football, and netball. These 46 passionate individuals engaged in a series of six internal workshops facilitated by Sport in Action in collaboration with the Wallace Group through the Volunteer Zambia project. Their boundless enthusiasm, inquisitiveness, and thirst for knowledge were the driving forces behind their accomplishments. The quantity of certificates awarded reflects both their dedication and the high-quality training provided by Sport in Action. Participant Tabitha Nkhoma said: "This certificate means a lot because it will allow me to teach other children what I’ve learned. I was once like them so I can now build confidence in them and make sure I turn out to be a great coach." The certificate presentation ceremony was graced by esteemed figures including Mr. Maziko Phiri, President of the Zambia Basketball Federation, Jesy Hewuka, Vice President Technical of Netball Zambia, and Lyson Zulu, the Technical Director at the Football Association of Zambia. These dignitaries offered words of encouragement, inspiration, and gratitude for the participants' remarkable achievements. Lyson Zulu remarked, "We want to increase the chances of a girl child in football, so to see so many young female coaches graduating today is fantastic for us. I hope we have encouraged the young coaches and given them hope for the future." Sport in Action expressed immense pride in witnessing their participants flourish and excel in their respective sports—whether it be basketball, football, or netball. These individuals exemplify the true spirit of sportsmanship and an insatiable thirst for knowledge. The Basic level coaching certificates they have earned stand as a testament to their skills and knowledge, underscoring the determination of those striving for success in their chosen fields.
