Youth coaches Mary Chawayipira and Choolwe Simubali have been chosen to represent the Zambia Basketball Federation at the FIBA Youth Camp. The first Youth Camp of the year saw boys congregating in Bamako, Mali, from September 20 to 22, with Zambia being represented by coach Sain Xen Mbuzi. The all-girls camp is scheduled for September 26 to 28 in Kigali, Rwanda. Each event will feature 45 players from 15 countries, alongside 15 coaches, including female coaches, attending the Kigali event. The FIBA Africa Regional Youth Camp is a prestigious program designed to identify and nurture the top young basketball talents across Africa. These camps are closely supervised by experts who focus on honing the technical aspects of basketball throughout the duration. This elite platform serves as a crucial component of FIBA Africa's development strategy, aiming to prepare players for competitive challenges and offer scouting opportunities from various parts of the world.
