Leadership comes with responsibilities and delegation as one serves an association or group of people, but this has come to an irony after a majority of Judo executives retained their positions after serving for four years in office. During their annual general meeting held on 25th March 2023, Zambia Judo Association president Alfred Foloko went unopposed and retained his position as Judo Association president. At their General meeting held at the Olympic Youth Development Centre (OYDC), Mabvuto Ng'uni was retained as general secretary, Harry Mfula as treasurer, and Dorothy Nyambe as vice President. National Sports Council of Zambia (NSCZ) Board Members Kay Kamatuwa and staffer Phoebe Silabo and other Judo clubs were present to witness the annual general meeting. In a post-meeting interview, re-elected President Foloko, expressed his gratitude for being retained as president and pledged to offer more in uplifting the sport. He later added that he does not take his re-election for granted but looks at it as an endorsement of stakeholders' confidence in taking the sport forward. Alfred also disclosed that he is ready to work with all stakeholders to obtain sports excellence while ensuring that Judo gets full recognition as a socially transformative sport. "This is not my victory, but a victory of those that value this sport to ensure we grow it to international height for the sake of Zambia's sports trajectory," Foloko said. The duly elected members will serve for the next four years' tenure of office. #ELECTIVEAGM #JUDO #JUDOASSOCIATIONOFZAMBIA #Judo Zambia
