Flyweight Boxer Patrick Chinyemba has today edged seventh seed from Uzbekistan Masud Yusifzada to secure a slot in the quarterfinals of the ongoing 2023 Boxing Championships. Yusifzada of Azerbaijan registered a dominant 5-0 win against Chinyemba of Zambia in round one. The seventh seed was countering well and waiting for the Zambians to make mistakes. Chinyemba had a good reaction to going down in the first round and progressed to winning the match. The Zambian managed to work out a combination in round two, helping him take the round 4-1. In the final round, Chinyemba pushed him till the end, landing a flurry of punches to secure the round and the bout 5-0 via unanimous decision.
