Zambia Athletics Association recently held a media briefing to unveil the generous contributions and sponsorships received for the upcoming Intercompany Relay, scheduled for Saturday, July 15, 2023. The event promises to be a significant fundraiser for the association. During the briefing, several organizations pledged their support, both in terms of financial assistance and services. Dr. Agarwal's Eye Hospital, for instance, is committed to providing free cancer screenings and eye screenings. Good Times Steel, another enthusiastic supporter, not only made a monetary donation but also expressed their ongoing commitment to supporting all athletes in delivering excellent services to the community. In an exciting development, Zisc General Insurance also made a notable appearance at the press conference. A representative from the company expressed their dedication to promoting sports in the country, emphasizing that their support extended beyond athletics to soccer as well. By investing in sports, they aim to enhance employment opportunities for the youth. The highly anticipated Intercompany Relay will take place at the Heroes Stadium this Saturday, with the first race kicking off as early as 05:30 hrs. The event will feature various categories, including the Directors' Race, Media Race, Special Olympics Race, and Employees' Race, among others. To accommodate more participants and companies interested in joining this momentous fundraiser, the Zambia Athletics Association has extended the registration deadline. Participants and companies now have until tomorrow, 18:00 hrs, to complete their online registrations and be part of Zambia's biggest fundraising event.
