AAthletes taking part in the upcoming 2023 African Athletics Junior Championship are confident of winning medals during the event. Eight hundred meters Specialist Martin Mauluka has said that his target is to win a gold medal for his town Choma, Southern Province during the championship. Martin, who won gold at region five games in Malawi last year says he is confident of replicating the same performance despite the stiff competition. And Sprinter Edina Ngandula from Green Buffaloes Athletics Club, says the Athletes will use their home advantage to deliver good results. In an interview, Athletics Youth Coach Sydney MUSHIPI disclosed that all the 100 Athletes were the best from their various age groups. 29th to 4th May 2023 is the set date for the Championship which is being hosted at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola, Zambia.
