On 14th September 2023, Arthur Davis Wina Primary School in Lusaka opened a chess hub for their pupils to pioneer personal growth and development. Speaking in an interview this afternoon with Zed Sport, Prosper Musemvu, who was there to grace the event, said that the opening of the Chess hub at the said school will not only open doors for the pupils to participate in sports but also enhance their personal growth. "Chess is not only there as a sport, but it also sharpens the thinking capacity of young people, including pupils. Learners have the ability to grow and develop themselves while practicing chess as a discipline," Mr. Musemvu said. A month ago, the Gift of Chess donated over 200 chess equipment to various schools in order to promote the sport and enhance personal development in pupils.
