Copperbelt Chess League Association
Copperbelt Chess League Association (CCLA) will be hosting the Copperbelt Youth and Festive Open Chess Championship from 20th to 23rd December 2023. The championships will also serve as selection for a team of players that will represent Copperbelt in Phase II of National Trials. The top 8 players from Copperbelt in both the Men and Ladies sections will be chosen based on Swiss final rankings to represent the province in Phase II of the National Trials. The criteria for the 2024 National Team Selection will include a combination of Normal Swiss, Knockout and Round Robin, however,the current highest rated active player on FIDE list and the current national champion will have automatic slots in the team.
