In the midst of the electrifying atmosphere of the World Cup 2023 held in Baku, a remarkable event unfolded as the FIDE Fair Play Commission orchestrated a pivotal Fair Play Seminar. From July 31st to August 4th, 2023, this event proved to be a beacon of knowledge and insight. Gathering a congregation of twenty-four avid participants, the seminar set the stage for chess arbiters, organizers, and various stakeholders to immerse themselves in the foundational tenets of fair play within the realm of chess. The seminar's lectures spanned a spectrum of crucial subjects, delving into the Fair Play Legal Framework, including the intricacies of standards of proof, and comprehensive examinations of Fair Play Regulations. Statistical Analysis emerged as another key theme, alongside the pragmatic implementation of Fair Play Theory across Over-the-Board (OTB) and Online events. Concluding the intensive 4-day seminar, a comprehensive examination assessed the acumen of the attendees. Proudly, the following individuals distinguished themselves by triumphantly passing this rigorous examination: Anish Ansari (INDIA), Goodwill Khoa (NAMIBIA), Emmanuel Mwaka (UGANDA), and Zambia's Chanda Nsakanya among others. This accomplished group shall be bestowed with the prestigious FPE seminar norm, aligning with the requisites for the esteemed FPE title.
