Blessings Ngulube secured the U-14 girls' championship title in a thrilling final match held on Sunday, 17th September, at the Mike Mambwe Junior Tennis Championship in Ndola. Ngulube clinched victory with a close score of 6/4, 7/5 against her formidable opponent, Mukangwa Siame. Ngulube's journey to the championship was impressive, beginning with a dominant 6/0, 6/1 victory against Jennifer Kapama of Nkana Tennis Club. She continued her winning streak in the semi-finals with a 7/5, 6/1 triumph over her clubmate, Ireen Mumba, securing her place in the finals. Mukangwa, representing Nkana Tennis Club, also displayed exceptional skills, defeating Sabina of Zambia Correction Service with a commanding score of 6/0, 6/0. In the semi-finals, she outperformed Janet Mwape, her clubmate, with a score of 6/3, 6/0, setting the stage for the intense final showdown. The U-14 girls' category also featured Violet Mwila from Mufulira Tennis Club, making it a competitive and spirited competition.
