The U-10 Mike Mambwe Junior Tennis Championship showcased an exciting final match that kept spectators on the edge of their seats. Shaney Mateta and Butemwe Shamano battled fiercely in a three-set thriller to determine the champion. Shaney took an early lead by securing the first set with a score of 7/6(2). However, Butemwe made a strong comeback in the second set, winning it 6/3, setting the stage for a decisive third set. In the final and deciding set, Shaney displayed remarkable determination, ultimately triumphing with a score of 10/4 to claim the championship title. Her journey to the final included defeating Wana Chitambala in the quarter-finals and overcoming Chikondi Nkoma in the semi-finals. Butemwe, on the other hand, received a bye in the quarter-finals but had to face tough competition in the form of Loveness Mubita in the semi-finals. Among the other participants in this category were Grace Chilufya and Tumelo Mwangala.
