Reigning Mr. Zambia Nelson Chabota, has promised to fly the country's flag high at the 2023 International Arnold Classic competition which started in Johannesburg yesterday. The Arnold Classic championships will run for three days with Chabota saying yesterday he had prepared adequately to contest for honours. "I am looking forward to flying the Zambian flag high at the event. I have prepared adequately and I am fully aware that the competition will be tough. But the most important thing is I am ready for the challenge," he said. Chabota's manager Gibson Phiri said the bodybuilder was disciplined and has been consistent at major events for years. "We are proud of his achievement locally so far as he has been very disciplined and consistent. We believe in him to do Zambia proud at this event," Phiri said. Phiri said Chabota was game and will do well in the South and hopes that he will do well in South Africa's competition running from 19th to 23rd May 2023. The annual multi-sports event consists of bodybuilding, Mr strongman, and other events with Chabota getting support from Kingdom Doors and the Digital X management team. Chabota has won the Mr. Kabwata contest on three consecutive occasions which adds to the Mr Ironman. He is credited for being the only bodybuilder to beat Sylvester Mwila and grab the Mr. Zambia title after an 11-year hold by the former champion.
