The just-crowned world 400m fasted man Muzala Samukonga has bagged himself honorary rank from sergeant to staff sergeant following his marvelous performance at the just-ended Botswana grand prix. According to the description of the commentators at the Botwsana FNB tournament, Muzala flew in the air at the speed of lightning and was crowned with a Gold medal. In August 2022, the commonwealth medalist minted Gold and was promoted to sergeant alongside Rhoda Njobvu who was also promoted to the same rank through their exceptional performance. Friday, 5th May 2023, marked another promotion day where Muzala and Rhoda received honorary ranks respectively. Muzala was promoted to staff sergeant where as Rhoda Njobvu was also honored. Presenting the honors and gracing the event was Zambia National Service Commander Lieutenant General Malaiti Solochi later encouraged the Athletes to keep up the good work and break boundaries.
