Mr. Mpondela draws his joy in seeing the records that he had set during the just-ended Junior Athletic Championships in Ndola where a good record was set despite accommodation challenges. “Athletics is my life, I have done what no one has ever done in athletics and I have produced champions, the next election that is coming I have no attention of running, they are people within ZA that have been working with me, and studying what I do,” He said Mr. Elias took over with a view of sourcing for funding as well as putting up a strong secretariat that could coordinate all the events in the association. "We came up with intercompany relay which brought a link with the private sector and has an exponential growth to raise local funds," He further disclosed. The president has cited Muzala Samukonga as one of the Athletes that ZA has produced and securing of more gold, bronze, and silver medals which has lifted the face of Zambia's Athletics to the world because of the ranking.
