Over the weekend, OYDC Zambia welcomed the Baseball5 team who recently minted Bronze at the just-ended African Baseball5 Championships. OYDC Zambia Chief Executive Officer Dr. Fredrick Chitangala has told the U18 baseball5 team that management is proud of them for minting a bronze medal after the recent competition in Ghana. The team minted bronze and emerged third at the Youth Baseball5 African Championship which was held from 16th to 21st May 2023 in Cape Coast. The team based at OYDC Zambia has since presented a bronze medal to the OYDC Chief Executive Officer who congratulated the boys and girls for their performance in Ghana and urged them to aim for gold next time adding that management is proud of them for coming back home with a medal. Dr. Chitangala disclosed that facilities remain available for their training so that skills can be improved in preparedness for future competition. Some of the teams which took part in the said Championships were South Africa, Tunisia, Burkina Faso, Nigeria, Benin, Tanzania, and Ghana.
