10th June was a knuckle and punch day at the government complex center where fists were being exchanged with the aim of knockouts. The main women's title Brought so much cheer from the audience as they saw their girls exchange punches. Ginger Phiri and Catherine Mulyata went into a tough match where the two fought with rivalry and Ginger succumbed to what was almost seen as a knockout when she went one knee down. Mulyata of Barotse Boxing Academy continued being aggressive until the 7th round where Ginger seemingly fought back with her knuckles going aimlessly. Mulyata was announced champion after the judges made a unanimous decision that she had many points. Catherine could not hold her breath and went into excitement and danced to her victory. In an interview with Zed Sport during the Lopez Punch, Catherine said that she is happy to be crowned Water Wight national championship. " I don't have many words to say but I am happy that I am the champion because my punches are strong and I aimed high during my training. Mulyata's Coach, Galagata Zulu disclosed to us that they have been in training for a long time and they aim to lift continental titles. " I feel nice, we have trained and I promised the nation that we will lift the title and we look forward to her representing Africa," Galagata said.
