This evening, phenomenal fighter Patrick Chinyemba of Zambian soil has progressed to Round 32 after recording a win against Ametovic Omer of Serbia via a 4-1 unanimous points Decision at the ongoing IBA International Boxing tournament. The tournament being held in Uzbekistan, Tashkent also saw Andrew Chilata qualifying for the quarter-final after beating Artur Ghazaryan 4-1 on unanimous points as of Wednesday, 3rd May 2023. Chilata performed exceptionally well winning favor from four judges as he endeavors to qualify for the Paris 2024 Olympic games. Judge one scored 27-30 in favor of Artur whilst the other four judges recorded 29-28, 30-27, 29-28, and 30-27 for Chilata to remain in the course of winning the medal. Zambia is being represented by a three-member team at the championships with the other two being flyweight boxers of Patrick Chinyemba and Andrew Chilala.
