Sports Minister Elvis Nkandu is among the Honored Guests from the Africa Region who will Attend the 2023 Special Olympics WorldGames in Germany. Almost 20 government Ministers and notable Honored Guests from the Africa Region representing organizations and other bodies will attend the 2023 Special Olympics World Games scheduled to take place in Berlin, Germany where they will engage in a Guest program and attend the Africa Region ‘meet and greet’ gathering, event with Special Olympics leadership. The leadership will include Dr. Tim Shriver, Chairman, Nyasha Derera, Sargent Shriver International Global Messenger, Bobby Shriver, Board member and Christmas Record Trustee member, Linda Potter, attorney and activist, and Mary Davis, CEO of Special Olympics International and our own Sports Minister, Elvis Nkandu. From 17th to 25th June 2023, Berlin, Germany will welcome 7,000 Special Olympics athletes and Unified partners from approximately 170 countries to compete in 24 sports. The athletes will be supported by more than 3,000 coaches and 20,000 volunteers.
