Adonai Ndala put up a dominant performance to win the third JC Flowers Schools Open Chess Championship title while eight-year-old Caylene Ndlovu, of Zimbabwe, emerged winner in the girl's category. Ndala, a Grade Seven pupil at Mujala School in Livingstone, recorded a Clean Sweep in a seven-round tournament with 48 boys from 16 schools in Zimbabwe and Zambia. Zambia, with 10 participating schools, dominated occupying nine of the attracted category, top 10 positions. Behind Ndala on six points was Raymond J Herest Namakando, of Libuyu Primary School, who beat Twapalwa Chisanga and Luumuno Mweene, both of Hillcrest National Technical Secondary School.
