Being called Verbal Master is not just a name tag given to Brighton Chiumya but because of the contribution that he has offered to the Copperbelt Province Chess. Brighton is the author of 'Zed Chess Spoiler Alert' social media articles which have been running to promote chess players and the Sport in the Copperbelt Province. Chiumya is also a citizen chess Reporter who aims to bring the face of chess to other areas with him documenting almost every chess player who has been setting records in Kabwe, Ndola, and Kalulushi among others. Apart from being a reporter, Brighton is a fairly decent chess player who is capable of beating any chess player in Zambia on a good day with different leadership roles in the Province. Verbal Master is the current Vice Chairperson of Roan Antelope General Hospital Chess Club based in Luanshya, he was also in the same campaign team as the current CFZ Vice President Counsel Tembo Kenneth for the 2018 elections where he contested for SG position against Kabaso Aggrey and Thomas Zulu. Running to 2023, the Verbal Master and some well-meaning Copperbelt players came up together to coin the Copperbelt Province Chess Association League (CCLA) where he is currently holding the position of Vice Chairperson. Brighton has contributed positively to the Copperbelt chess world and has ensured that the tournament is strengthened and does not cease to exist.
