The other players include South African nationals, Jason Theron, Kyle Akaloo, Aden Joseph, Lenyuktha Chetty, and Zaffar Kassim. Qualifiers who will also be taking part in the incoming tournament include Jamiel Jacobs, Wayne Parker, Ashraaf Haribhai, and Mario October who are in high spirits to lift the trophy. Musonda said he is excited to be the only player from outside South Africa to take part in the event which will be a bit challenging but interesting. “I am very excited to be picked to represent my country, Zambia at the South Africa Open Artistic Pool tournament. Being one of the very first players in history to ever compete in an official WPA-recognized Artistic Pool event on African soil is such an honor to lift my nation's flag high," He said. Kirby further added that he is looking forward to competing with other Africa's Artistic Pool players and he will set up a precedence. In the future, Musonda hopes that Zambia can also have an active Artistic Division Pool so that in future tournaments Zambia can produce more players. Sponsors of the tournament include McDermott Cues, Gospel Trick Shot Ministries, Dr. Cue Promotions, Brian 'Superman' Pauley, the Cue Coach, Andy Cloth, Basil Billiards, and Cerebro.
