19th April 2023, The Confederation of Southern Africa School Sports Association (COSASSA) executive flew into the country to inspect the core status of Levy Mwanawasa Stadium ahead of the school sports games. The Confederation of Southern Africa School Sports competition will be held at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in May 2023 which will be accompanied by different countries in Africa. COSASSA President Authur Maposa is happy that Zambia accepted to host the Competition and is impressed with the preparations ahead of the event. Meanwhile, the Zambia School Sports Association (ZASSA) President Mwendelema Macwani disclosed that 6 out of the 10 nations have confirmed participation in the incoming tournament. National Sports Council of Zambia Secretary General Raphael Mulenga has said that the council will also look out for performance-enhancement drugs as the competition gets underway to ensure that all teams participate in a fair zone.
