4th May 2023, The Confederation of African Athletics (CAA) has described Zambia's hosting of the five-day combined under-18 and under-20 championships at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium as a Success in the manner that Zambia Conducted the event despite some few errors such as the accommodation failure of some Athletes. CAA president Hamad Kalkaba said the championships exposed the rich pool of talent that Africa has been blessed with. Kalkaba hailed all the stakeholders who worked tirelessly to deliver a successful event that announced the arrival of future stars. "We can now rejoice. We can jump for joy. We can congratulate each other and be proud of it because our continent is a real pool of talent in the field of athletics Over the past five days, we have seen proof of this through the performances of our young athletes from all our five regions," Kalkaba added.
