Yesterday was Zambia's first play and day one of the Zone VI International Handball Federation trophy which is being held in South Africa. Zambia began the tournament on a good note by defeating Malawi Queens with a 44-17 victory in their group. Seven youth countries and just as many junior national teams are ready to start at the Women’s IHF Trophy Zone 6 Africa, which will run from 23rd to 27th May 2023, in Johannesburg, South Africa. The winners of the tournaments at both age categories will qualify for the Continental Phase of the Women’s IHF Trophy. Six nations that will be competing at the International trophy are Mozambique, Madagascar, Malawi, South Africa, Seychelles, and Zambia. Besides, Namibia will play at the youth (U17) event and Zimbabwe at the junior (U19) tournament. The matches will be held at two venues: Orlando Community Hall and Mandeville Indoor Sports Centre. At the preliminary stage of the youth competition, the teams are divided into two groups. Madagascar, Malawi, Namibia, and Zambia play in Group A, while Mozambique, South Africa, and Seychelles compete in Group B. Today, Zambia is geared to take on Madagascar in their second group A game at Orlando Hall in Johannesburg. Congratulations to the queens for starting with a Victory. #ZambiaKuchalo
