Zambia Swimming Union's (ZASU) female swimmer, Mia Phiri competed in the 2023 SwimRVA Success Bell-Chase Meet in Virginia, USA securing LC national records in 50 Butterfly, 50 Back and 100 Back and a strong personal best in the 50 Free. The 50 Fly record was previously held by Ellen Hight and 100 Back by Jade Howard but Phiri has cored 28.51s in 50 fly, 27.13 in 50 free, 30.56 in 50 back, and finally scored 1.07.73 in 100 back. Meanwhile, Over the weekend Coach Matthew competed in the British Masters Championships held in Sheffield, UK where he set his new records in 200 breaststroke. Mathew secured a cool Gold in the 200 Breastroke where he was placed 4th in the 100 Breast among very stiff competitors.
