The World Fitness Federation has organized its first ever Mr. Mongu bodybuilding contest, in the Western province, set for 13th May 2023. Western Province Fitness Federation Chairperson, Isikanda Noyo confirmed this development with ZNBC on 25th April 2023. Participants are excited about this development and are moving from different parts of the western Province to prepare for the Competition. Some include those from as far as Sesheke, Senanga, Kaoma, and Kalabo. The World Fitness Federation has confirmed its presence in the western Province and has partnered with the government and other stakeholders to support the participants who are currently using a privately owned gym which requires participants to pay. For every set of exercises, someone is required to pay a certain amount of money which has been challenging to the majority of the western Province is a rural area. Isikanda has therefore called on the government to quicken the provision of building a community gym with advanced equipment which will benefit the community members. The best 10 winners will travel to Lusaka to participate in a provincial tournament which will be held in July. Photo Credit-Peter C
