The Copperbelt Elite Chess Championship is about to unfold. This exclusive tournament will be designed for those whose skill ratings soar above the formidable threshold of 1970. However, only a select group of ten players will earn the privilege of participating in this event. To secure a spot at the chessboard, contenders will be required to pay an entry fee of K100. The first-place winner will claim a sum of K1200, while the second-place finisher will earn a respectable K800. K750 and K500 have been allocated to the third and fourth places, respectively. The list so far includes: 1. Thomas Zulu - Confirmed 2. Dumisani Ndhlovu - Confirmed 3. Douglas Munenga - Pending confirmation with CCLA on membership 4. Samuel Mumba - Confirmed
