29th March 2023, the Zambia Swimming Union (ZASU) selected a 39-member provisional team for the CANA Zone Four Championship billed for Angola in May. Back on the team was Olympian Tilka Paljk, who missed last year's event due to other commitments. ZASU general secretary Sophie Peach, who released the names, said that they picked the best swimmers from each category. "As ZASU, we select the top two in each group and then send names to swimmers to confirm availability. But if Swimmers decide to withdraw after making the names public, we replace them with others who are available," She added. Among the swimmers announced in the final squad list on Thursday, 27th April 2023, is Damien Shamambo from Torpidoes Swimmers, Wina Mwamba from Kapentas swim club, Inutu Kawesha from Oreas swim club and Seth Gomez from Ndola rapids swim club among other participants. The Angola-bound team will leave Zambia on Monday, 1st May for the Zone IV games which will run from 3rd to 6th May 2023. We wish all the best to the swimmers. #ZambiaKuchalo Photo Credit-ZSU
