Zambia women's national team players, together with the technical bench, who represented the country at their debut FIFA Women's World Cup in New Zealand and Australia, will each receive $7,100 (K134,596) for their efforts, reports The Times of Zambia. The $7,100 is in addition to the $30,000 assured appearance fee that each player will receive from FIFA for being part of the tournament. This brings the total to $37,100, which translates to K703,313 in the local currency. The Copper Queens finished third in Group C with three points, having won one game and lost two. The government assured them a $5,000 winning bonus for each player, for every win they recorded at the tournament, prior to the tournament's commencement.
