The current medal table at the 2nd edition of the Confederation of Africa Athletics U18/U-20 which will be coming to an end today has seen South Africa showcasing the best of their performance and wants to win almost all trophies at the tournament. South Africa has taken a lead of 52 Gold, 52 Silver, and 51 bronze as the host country poorly reap only 3 silver and 2 bronze medals. Nigeria is second on the medal table with 13 Gold, 9 silver, and 9 bronze followed by Kenya which has 5 Gold, 5 silver, and 8 bronze. Zambia is the lowest ranking with only 3 silver medals,2 bronze, and zero Gold medals with over 100 Athletes being eliminated from the Preliminaries. This was not only a disappointing performance by the host country we also failed to provide shoes for our racing athletes. Zambia has put itself at a high risk of not being given another privilege to host another international tournament due to poor management and poor performance. Photo Credit-OYDC
