Three Zambian swimmers become the first ever to take part in an international open-water swimming Competition. Zambia's Swimmers who are also part of the CANA zone IV swimming Championships took on a challenging step by participating in the Open Water Swimming Competition on the Pacific Ocean on Sunday. 7th May 2023, Some Zambian Participants who took up the challenge include Tonderai Mazikana, Zoah Cooney, and Matthew Shone who performed exceptionally well and their fate will only be determined by the judges who will have all the results compiled. The Open Water swim has a threshold of 3km from the starting point to the back, where different Participants also competed to finish first. The Zambia Swimming Union is pleased with this development and looks forward to the results to be shared by the charges who were manning the Competition on the Atlantic Ocean. Photo Credit -ZSU
