22nd April 2023, the National Olympic Committee of Zambia (NOCZ) hosted its 2022 Annual General Meeting at OYDC Zambia Sports Development Centre to address different issues aligned with the committee. During the AGM, NOCZ President, Foloko thanked the Government and the Ministry of Youth, Sport, and Art for their support in ensuring Zambia's successful outing at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games. Later on, the Olympic Council reviewed and adopted the report of the executive board for 2022, audited accounts and balance sheet of the NOCZ for the 2021 and 2022 financial years, and reappointed HLB Zambia as auditors for the upcoming year. The Olympic Council unanimously signed the membership applications of the Zambia Golf Union and Wrestling Association of Zambia and the appointment of Ms. Daisy Kopolo as a Board Member of NOC/CGA Zambia. Furthermore, the ratification of Golf and Wrestling will increase the number of affiliate members to 30 for 2023 and the future. After the signing, President Foloko later urged all Zambians to embrace sports as a means of promoting health, wellness, and social cohesion in their communities.
