Leicester City striker Patson Daka has urged the Zambia women's national team to stick together and support one another after their elimination from the FIFA Women's World Cup. The Copper Queens were knocked out of the tournament after suffering heavy defeats to Spain and Japan. Daka, who is part of the men’s national team in Zambia, took to Twitter to offer his support to the team. "Success has many fathers, but failure is an orphan," he said. "Survive the dark and you'll become the light. This is the time for you to stick together and be there for each other mentally, physically, and emotionally. Always remember what brought you this far." The Copper Queens will now look to regroup and prepare for their next match against Costa Rica on Monday, July 31st, 2023.
