The National Olympic Committee of Zambia (NOCZ) has undertaken a project to support affiliated National Federations in formulating strategic plans, with the Cycling Association of Zambia (CAZ) being the latest beneficiary. The workshop for the formulation of CAZ's strategic plan was conducted from August 19th to 20th, 2023, in Lusaka. The event was attended by representatives from various clubs and CAZ Committee members, led by President Andrew Chibuye, General Secretary Percy Chikwenda, and Treasurer Malcolm Jhala. After the completion of the formulation process workshop, CAZ's General Secretary, Chikwenda, expressed gratitude to the participants for their availability, contributions, and insights. "Without a doubt, this strategic plan will be our guiding light towards a successful future for CAZ. I also wish to extend my sincere appreciation to NOCZ for their unwavering support in facilitating this crucial planning process. Their assistance has made this achievement possible," said Chikwenda. The facilitator, Elina Bwalya, also extended thanks to CAZ, conveyed through the General Secretary and the entire team, for ensuring the successful completion of this phase of the process. CAZ now becomes the fourth National Federation to receive support from NOCZ in formulating their five-year strategic plans during Phase 2 of the project.
