Leo Butt from Nakambala Cycling Club, his closest competitor, trailed by a mere 13 seconds. Michael Olokani, representing Kansanshi Cycling, secured the third position with a time of five hours, 26 minutes, and 14 seconds. Reflecting on the demanding race in an interview, Chembe acknowledged its toughness, exacerbated by scorching weather conditions. However, he expressed his satisfaction in making his sponsors proud and credited his victory to his familiarity with the terrain, having previously raced on this route.
